From Acme Comics #8 The Acme Papers

It's Richard Florence's fault. He bugged me for over a year to write a comprehensive history of the Acme Comics Group for the web, and he should've known that if I ended up doing it, I would end up over-doing it.
And so I have, and so I have.

Warning! Before going on, you might want to read the warnings at the bottom of this page. If you don't, I warned you.

Who From Acme Comics #5 are the afore-mentioned "people" who spent countless hours hunched over drafting stands, ottomans, or kitchen tables, scritching away on sketchpads, only to suffer my jibes, chides, insults, and dictatorial edicts every month ?

What are the pulpy, pretentious, pricy publications we tried to perpetuate on an unprepared public ? From Acme Comics #8

Image  WARNING!
Since they're about comics, cartoons, and illustration, many of these pages are naturally image-intensive. Be prepared to wait for somewhat long load times as you browse around. Warning!

Link  WARNING!
If you're as anal as I am about checking out every link, you're in trouble. References are repeatedly, exhaustively, annoyingly linked and cross-linked. You're going to get tired of reading about me and Motley, especially. Warning!

Copyright  WARNING!
Most of the images on these pages were scanned from our publications, and their original illustrators can be discerned from the referenced links. Copyright is retained. Most of these guys are pretty cool, though, so as long as you're not abusive about it, they won't mind your using them (give them credit if you can). If you want to use them for commericial purposes, or would like to contact any of them, drop me a line and I'll do what I can. Warning!

Interest  WARNING!
Like most other vanity sites, these pages are of interest mostly to those who already know the story. If you want to learn how to draw, or know who is stronger, Hulk or Superman, you're in the wrong place. But if you want a glimpse into the attitudes and mechanics of a group of amateur cartoonists in a specific time and place, read on. Warning!
